At its January 19, 2010 General Membership/Family Involvement meeting, the Beacon Hill Parent Teacher Association adopted Standing Rules.
As an organization affiliated with the Washington State PTA, Beacon Hill PTA must abide by the WSPTA Uniform Bylaws. However, a PTA may adopt a set of standing rules that are tailored to that PTA, as long as the standing rules do not conflict with the state bylaws. A PTA’s standing rules identify the PTA and define its relationship with its members.
The standing rules must be adopted by the members and should be reviewed and re-adopted each year.
